Inspirational Presentations

Students in a history class at North Shore Country Day School in Chicago, recently composed a video honoring U.S. soldiers in the Vietnam War. This vivid and touching remembrance features Pauline's husband and family

The video is composed in Windows Media Player. It may be viewed by clicking here.

The initial communication from the students in Chicago is as follows:

Hello Ms. Laurent,

I am a student at North Shore Country Day School in Chicago, IL.

In my history class we have just finished the unit on Vietnam and now have to conclude our lesson with a one to three minute video on a story we would like to tell about Vietnam.

My group would like to tell the story of only one Vietnam veteran to emphasize the fact that every coffin had a story and when one speaks about how many U.S. soldiers gave their lives that one remembers that each of them had family and friends. I would like to use your husband's story to portray this message.

I was hoping that you can help me with a little more information about your husbands life before the war, family and friends, hopes, dreams, and how this affected you personally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ivan Ramirez
